In today's world of computers and technology and with an ever increasing percentage of coursework and assignments having to be presented in typed format, the need to equip students with the 'life skill' of touch typing, has never been more essential.
The course has been designed to provide total flexibility for teachers. It can be used independently, integrated within classroom teaching with minimum teacher intervention or used on a one to one basis, for those students who need it.
Each license includes a simple yet comprehensive teacher's admin panel. This contains user guides, demonstration videos, lesson plans, the ability to upload individual or multiple student lists in minutes, group students and monitor student progress in real time (speed, accuracy and lessons completed).
Additionally, full IT support is available.
Should you wish to join a free webinar on how to use the teacher's admin panel / back office, please click this button, enter your details and you will be contacted by one of our team.
With online learning now a crucial part of education, secondary school teachers have recognised the necessity to teach students how to touch type, to prepare them for ‘O’ levels, further education and the workplace.
They have been searching for touch typing programs with testing modules from a recognised body to include in their ‘digital literacy program’.
For this reason, City & Guilds have lowered their minimum age requirements for their ‘Assured’ touch typing test to 14 years (for invigilated testing only).
Successful students will receive a digital badge and certificate to showcase on their social media profiles, CVs and Job application forms.
KAZ typing tutor’s multi-sensory program was designed especially for schools and further education. It was scientifically developed by the same team of experts responsible for producing over 55 RSA/NVQ level, computer and office skills courses.
The team used a unique Accelerated Learning teaching method - the most advanced teaching and learning method in use today. It is a ‘total system’ for speeding and enhancing the learning process. Based on brain research, it has been proven time and again to increase learning effectiveness.
Our software is available online, via our cloud based server, as a download for installation, in SCORM 1.2 compliant form for use in LMS/VLE systems, in Single Sign On (SAML) mode for cloud based LMS, Classlink and RM Unify.
No other typing tutor is deliverable across such a wide range of IT platforms.
“What I am looking for is a program that will teach the keyboard to the students. One where they can learn where the keys are and the proper way to hold their hands when they type. I like KAZ because it has monitoring and testing and review.”
“We have been using KAZ for the past 14 years. KAZ Online far exceeds our wildest expectations. Both our students and parents, love it.”
“We have been using KAZ since 2003 and we love it.”
"We are a K-8 Public Charter School. After using KAZ for just one year, we increased our license to include other classes.”
“Thank you for providing a very simple -to-use, child friendly course. It has been a great help to the pupils I have taught so far and I will now roll the program out to the entire school.”
“Other typing tutors are cumbersome compared with KAZ. If you want to learn to touch type without hours of tedious training that could put you off for life, then this has to be the program for you.”
“It is a very good touch typing program that I have recommended to many people, even purchasing on behalf of parens. Children and adults are able to very quickly learn the keys and have success typing. KAZ is a great program!”
“The children are eager to come to the classes and they are all finding the software easy to use.”
“KAZ is one of the most appealing and user friendly software keyboarding packages I have ever used.”
“I used KAZ in an after school typing club for junior children. It was very successful. One Y5 girl used KAZ at home and at school for several weeks and now has a typing speed of 56 wpm! Very impressive!”
“The students do enjoy using KAZ. Some even use their lunchtime break to come in and practice and the fact it can be accessed at home too, is a big plus. We’ve just re-licensed for another year, which pretty much speaks for itself. We also presented a small prize and trophy to the best achiever to make it more fun and encourage a bit of competition”
“I am seeing some excellent accuracy and speed results. KAZ is user friendly and it is really good that I don’t have to keep monitoring students escaping to play keyboard games, that most other typing programs have attached to them.”
“This is brilliant. We’ve never seen anything like this before. All our 5 trialists are writing a letter to the head to ask for this program. ”
