Due to challenges from ADHD, student B often experienced anxiety with completing and delivering his coursework on time. On very challenging days, the anxiety led to brain fog and a mental block. Learning to touch type with KAZ helped in the following ways.

KAZ’s specialised and focused teaching method based on the Pomodoro Technique, a technique of short, concentrated periods of learning followed by a rest period, accommodated student B’s attention and time management challenges, allowing him to learn to touch type without undue anxiety. The structured approach provided a clear framework and routine that helped him stay on track. His typing speed increased significantly, reducing his time on tasks and allowing him to complete his assignments more efficiently.

Additionally, the subconscious skill and KAZ’s systematic approach to typing helped reduce distractions and improved his focus. It allowed him breathing space to think and organise his thoughts and ideas, considerations that, due to his anxiety, dictation software did not accommodate. As he became more proficient, he could focus more on the content of his writing rather than the mechanics of typing.

He particularly enjoyed the Challenge modules as they rapidly helped him develop automaticity.

His new-found skill was liberating to him and significantly boosted his confidence, reduced his anxiety, and lessened his episodes of brain fog and mental blocks.

What student B had to say:

“I never knew learning to touch type would help me in the way it has. I didn’t actually know what touch typing was until I was introduced to KAZ. It’s really cool to be able to type and not stress.”
